Family Trust aquires Dietsch Upholstery

Family Trust Beteiligungsholding and co-investor Tobias Fuhrmann become new majority shareholders in the traditional German company Dietsch Polstermöbel.
The members of the founding Dietsch family will continue to play key operational roles and remain involved in Dietsch’s commercial success.

Dietsch Polstermöbel is a leading manufacturer of upholstered furniture based in Schmalkalden, Thuringia. The “upholstered furniture to feel good” is characterized by highest quality, innovation as well as functional designs. Consumers particularly appreciate the design, functionality, durability and attractive price-performance ratio of Dietsch Polstermöbel GmbH. Today, the family business is managed by the brothers Jörk and Mathias Dietsch.

Family Trust and Tobias Fuhrmann, who as founding CEO of the Vivonio Furniture Group brings many years of furniture industry experience to the table, will continue the long-standing success story at Dietsch. The brothers Jörk and Mathias Dietsch will continue to work unchanged as managing directors. All other family members, the management and the entire team will also remain unchanged in the company and at the Springstille/Schmalkalden site.

Mathias Dietsch comments: “Our thanks go to our employees, to our long-standing business partners and to our families, thanks to whose commitment, perseverance and trust Dietsch Polstermöbel is today a very healthy and well positioned company. FTI is a reliable partner who knows our market very well as well as furniture and medium-sized production companies. I would particularly like to emphasize that FTI has extensive experience with German family-owned companies and therefore understands and continues the Dietsch medium-sized company culture. Our family and I are looking forward to working with FTI and Mr. Fuhrmann.”

Jörk Dietsch added: “Our customers will also benefit from the reinforcement by FTI. The new impulses from our partner FTI will further support the future innovative development of Dietsch. Of course, we will also maintain our proven concept in working with our customers with our new partner. Our personal service, individuality, flexibility and a high quality standard will remain the focus of the company’s strategy.”

“We would like to thank the Dietsch family for the trust they have placed in us to help shape the future of this successful company with strong regional roots. Dietsch Polstermöbel has proven a tremendous development through quality, functionality and popularity of the products, which we now want to maintain and further expand at the location together with the founding family, the management and the employees,” says Tobias Fuhrmann.
